Dream of a Child
Earlier I was reminiscing my childhood days and remembered the things that I wanted & dream of when I was young. Well, back then I only wanted/dream of 3 things 1) to go to Disneyland, 2) to be a Doctor/Nurse 3) to find my Prince Charming and live happily ever after, that’s it! Duh! I was just a kid okey? Anyways, Out of the 3 dreams I only got one and that’s Disneyland. Yes, I visited Disney a couple of years back and I so love it! I still want to visit again and again. Well, what could I say? I maybe old but I’m still a kid at heart.
Anyways, my other dream was to become a Doctor or a nurse someday but I realized when I got older that I’m not fit for it as I don’t like seeing or touching dead bodies. I really wanted to be a nurse as I really like watching them taking care of sick people, as well, as wearing those cute nursing uniforms and lab gowns. But I ended up taking engineering at the University. And the closest thing I had worn a scrub or lab gown was during our laboratory experiments in chemistry & Physics. Well, it was not even a cute custom made scrub but it gave my clothes some protection from the chemicals. But I envy my niece who’s graduating in nursing next year. She had this really cute nursing uniforms and scrubs.
Well, my third dream – to find prince charming and live happily ever after. I guess that’s just a dream as happily ever after is just for fairytales. I learned that life is not just always sunshine, there’s also rain and gloomy weather. Well, it’s how you live and deal with the ups and downs. Just be happy with what you have and everything will just follow. You don’t need prince charming to be happy right?
Well, I’m not closing any doors yet. There’s still hope that I can have those two dreams if only I could face up my fears in dead bodies and of course finding that one special person and not prince charming. You can never say never.
